CHRIST CHILD’ early in December: Dear Parents: Learning to give to others is one of the greatest blessings of Christmas. Won’t you encourage your child to have a part in furnishing our Church Lending Library by giving a book (or sharing in the cost of one) to his De partment Shelf? Each member of the Sunday school is encouraged to fill their section by giving a book. The more completely the library is furnished, the more spiritual help will be obtainable for all ages. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18 will be CHRISTMAS GIFT SUNDAY. A suggested Christian book list for your department is obtainable from your Sunday school teacher. Won’t you give a book to enrich the spiritual lives of many for the Christ who gave His all for you? In His service, The Library Committee of your church John 3:16 HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON (III) Make a poster in each depart ment of the Sunday school, depicting a book case with two shelves . . . one for boys, and one for girls, to en courage a little competition. Each shelf has half of the number of books designated for that'depart ment. Each book is numbered. As the book is contributed, the child gets to color that book on the shelf on the poster. When a child or adult gives a book he is presented with a small folded sheet of paper resembling a gift wrapped book, and a colorful string to attach to the coat lapel . . . to show that he has contributed. Perhaps begin with the first Sun day in December to encourage giving the books, and filling the shelves, having the Sunday previous to Christ mas as CHRISTMAS GIFT SUNDAY ■ . . the final push to fill the shelf in each department. Undergird your project with prayer, and the Lord will surely bless your efforts. LET’S FILL OUR SHELVES!
