T لم لــــــم تكن صورة الملكة إليزابيــــــث الثانية في المخيلة العالمية مجرّد مظهر مألوف، بل أيقونة بصرية متكاملة الملامح: هيئة من لون واحد نابض بالحياة تشــــــق طريقها وســــــط صفوف لا تنتهــــــي من البــــــدلات الداكنة، تعلوها قبعة متقنة التنســــــيق، ويزيّنها عقد ثلاثي من اللؤلؤ الأبيض، وبروش تاريخي براق، فيما تستقر بثبات على ساعدها حقيبة سوداء لامعة. غير أن اختــــــزال هذه الصــــــورة الأيقونية في إطار العادة أو التفضيل الشــــــخصي ينطوي على قراءة قاصرة، فقد شكّلت، على مدى عقودٍ، إحدى أكثر منظومات التواصل البصري والدبلوماسية الرمزية تطوّرًا وانضباطًا واستمرارية في العصر الحديث. بمناســــــبة الذكرى المئويــــــة لميلادها، يفتح معــــــرض “الملكة إليزابيــــــث الثانية: حياتها بأناقة”، المُقام في “معرض الملك” ، نافذة استثنائية 2027 إبريل 18 بقصر باكنغهام في لندن حتى علــــــى عالــــــم الملكــــــة الراحلــــــة، بوصفه أكبر وأشــــــمل معرض يُخصَّص على الإطــــــلاق لخزانة أزيائها. ويضم المعرض أكثر قطعة مختارة من أرشــــــيف استثنائي يزخر بما يزيد 300 من علــــــى أربعة آلاف قطعة محفوظــــــة ضمن المجموعة الملكية، التــــــي تُعد واحدة من أهــــــم مجموعات الأزياء البريطانية في القرن العشــــــرين ومن أكبر مجموعــــــات الأزياء المملوكة لفرد واحد في المملكة المتحدة. غير أن هذا المعرض الاســــــتعادي لا يقتصر على اســــــتعراض الأزياء والقطــــــع النادرة، بل يقدّم واحدًا من أكثر السرديات الثقافية عمقًا لفنون الحكم وإدارة الدولة خلال القرن العشرين ومطلع القرن الحادي والعشرين. فمن خلال الأثواب والقبعات والمجوهرات والإكسســــــوارات والرســــــومات وعيّنات الأقمشة والوثائق الأرشيفية، تتكشف رحلة الأميرة إليزابيث نحو العرش، وتُروى فصول قرابة قرن كامل من التاريخ الشــــــخصي والسياســــــي والثقافي عبر لغة الملبس وما تحمله من دلالات. وتكتسب هذه التجربة أهمية خاصة مع إتاحة أكثر من نصف هذه القطع أمام الجمهور للمرة الأولــــــى، ما يقدّم فرصة نادرة للنفــــــاذ إلى ما وراء الكواليس واستكشاف العالم الخاص الذي صاغ إحدى أكثر الشخصيات تأثيرًا وحضورًا في التاريخ المعاصر، من داخل غرفة الملابس الملكية نفسها. تتولى كاروليــــــن دو غيتو، القيّمة على مجموعة الملك الفنية ومؤلفة الكتاب الرسمي الصادر بمناسبة مئوية الملكة بعنوان “الملكــــــة إليزابيــــــث الثانيــــــة: الموضة والأناقــــــة”، إعداد هذا المعــــــرض، الذي يجمع بين أثواب الخياطة الراقية الآســــــرة، والملابس الاحتفالية الرســــــمية، وأزياء النهار الأنيقة، والقطع التــــــي رافقت الملكة في لحظاتها الخاصة بعيدًا عن الأضواء. وفي هذا الســــــياق، تقول دو غيتو: “على امتداد عهد الملكة إليزابيــــــث الثانية الفريد، الذي اســــــتمر عقودًا طويلة، تحوّل To a global audience, Queen Elizabeth II’s visual imprint was in- delible: a vibrant, single-colour column traversing a sea of dark suits, framed by a perfectly matched hat, a pristine triple-strand pearl necklace, a glittering historic brooch and a structured black patent leather handbag held firmly at the forearm. Marking the centenary of her birth, the exhibition Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style – staged at The King’s Gallery at Buckingham Pal- ace in London until 18 April 2027 – stands out as the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of the late monarch’s wardrobe ever mounted. Featuring more than 300 objects drawn from an extraordinary archive of over 4,000 items held within the Royal Collection – one of the most important collections of 20 th -century British fashion and among the largest single-owner fashion collections in the United Kingdom – this landmark ret- rospective is quietly one of the most revealing cultural portraits of 20 th -century and early 21 st -century statecraft. Garments, hats, jew- els, accessories, sketches, fabric swatches and archival documents chart the evolution of Princess Elizabeth into Queen Elizabeth II, tracing nearly a century of personal, political and cultural history through clothing. Crucially, more than half of these items are on public display for the very first time, offering an unprecedented glimpse behind the curtain of the royal dressing room.
