وفنون الأداء، وروابط المجتمع. وبوصفي فنانةً، وجدت في ذلك امتدادًا طبيعيًا لمســــــيرتي، لأن السرد كان، ولا يزال، جوهر كل ما أقدّمه. وأعتقد أن الفنان، بطبيعته، ينظر إلى الأشــــــياء من زاوية مختلفة. فأنا لا أنشــــــغل بالمشــــــروع التالي فحسب، بل أطرح على نفسي دائمًا أسئلة أوسع: كيف يمكن لـ“أبوظبي للفنون الفروسية الأميرية” أن تسهم في إثراء المشهد الثقافي؟ وكيف نهيئ فرصًا حقيقية للفنانين، والمبدعين، والمجتمع؟ وكيف نبني شراكات تدوم، وندعم في الوقت نفسه الرؤية الثقافية لأبوظبي، من دون أن نفقد هويتنا أو نحيد عن رسالتنا؟ هذا هو أكثر ما يستهويني في هذا الدور. فالقضية ليست إدارة مؤسسة ثقافية، بل الإسهام في بناء مكان يشــــــعر الناس بأنه يعنيهم ويعبّر عنهم. فإذا غادر أحد زوارنا وقد ازداد تقديرًا لثقافتنا، أو اكتشــــــف جانبًا منها لم يكن يعرفه مـــــــــــــن قبل، أشعــــــــــر أننا حققنا ما نصبو إليه، وتركنا أثرًا طيّبًا. كثيرًا ما تتحدث “أبوظبي للفنون الفروسية الأميرية” عن إعادة مسيرة تطور الفروسية إلى جذورها الأولى. ماذا يعني ذلك، ولماذا تكتسب هذه الحكاية كل هذه الأهمية اليوم؟ عندما يتحدث الناس اليوم عن الفروسية الكلاسيكية، فإن أذهانهم تتجه، بطبيعة الحال، إلى أوروبا، وهذا أمر مفهوم، إذ حافظت الأكاديميات الأوروبية الكبرى على هذا الفن وصانته عبر
At ADREA, we don’t see these values as something that belongs only in history books. We try to express them through everything we do, whether that’s a performance, an exhibition, a publication or a public programme. We don’t need to change Furusiyya . Instead, we create new ways for people to experience its timeless values. Classical horsemanship is often viewed as a European tradition. How is ADREA reshaping that global narra- tive and highlighting the Arabian contribution to its origins and development? One of Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts’ most impor- tant roles is to broaden the conversation. The European Schools have done an extraordinary job ad- vancing classical horsemanship, and we have immense respect for that legacy. What ADREA hopes to contribute is a deeper understanding of the story that came before. We want people to recognise that this tradition is part of a much longer cultural journey, one that includes the Ara-

وفي هذا الحوار الحصري مع شواطئ، تتحدث ريم المبارك عن رؤيتها لـ“أبوظبي للفنون الفروســــــية الأميرية” بوصفها منارة ثقافيــــــة متعددة الأبعاد، وعن الجهود الرامية إلى إعادة الاعتبار لإسهامات العالم العربي في نشأة الفروسية الكلاسيكية، ولماذا ما تزال الفروســــــية، بما تختزنه من قيم نبيلة، قادرة على إلهام الإنســــــان في العصر الحديث. بصفتك فنانة متعددة التخصصات، وقيّمة فنية شــــــاركت أعمالها في معارض دولية، كيف قادتك رحلتك إلى “أبوظبي للفنون الفروســــــية الأميرية”؟ والأهم من ذلك، كيف انعكســــــت هذه الخلفية الإبداعية على رؤيتك ونهجك في قيادة القسم الثقافي؟ لــــــم أتوقــــــع يومًا أن ينتهي بي المطاف في “أبوظبي للفنون الفروســــــية الأميرية”. فقــــــد جاءتني هذه الفرصة في وقت لم أكن أســــــعى إليها، وأؤمن يقينًا بأنها كانت من تدبير اللـه. ومنذ اللحظة الأولى، أدركت أنني لا أنضم إلى مؤسســــــة تُعنى بالفروسية فحسب، بل إلى مكان يختزن عالمًا من الحكايات. فالخيل، بالنسبة إلينا نحن أبناء الإمارات، ليست مجرد جزء من الموروث، بل هي حاضرة في القصص التي نشأنا عليها، وفي الشعر، والتاريخ، والهوية. وفي هذه الصلة عمق وجمال يصعب اختزالهما بالكلمات. وشــــــعرت، منــــــذ دخولي، وكأنني أخطو إلى مكان ينبــــــض بالحياة منذ زمن. فما إن تجاوزت صورة الجواد، حتى انكشفت أمامي حكايات التاريخ، والأدب، والحِرَف،

But the values that shaped classical horsemanship - respect for the horse, discipline, harmony, and the pursuit of excellence - can be traced back much further, to the principles of Furusiyya in the Arab World. For us, ADREA is not introducing something new to the region. We are bringing the evolution of this tradition back to where many of its foundations began. There is something deeply mov- ing about watching this story return home: not as an attempt to recreate the past, but as a tradition that continues to live and evolve in the very place where many of its earliest values first took shape. To me, that is what makes ADREA so special. We are not simply preserving history; we are allowing it to continue its journey, honouring where it came from while giving it the space to inspire future generations. Furusiyya is central to ADREA’s identity. How does the insti- tution reinterpret these historic principles for contemporary audiences while remaining authentic to their original values? Furusiyya has always been about much more than riding. It is a philosophy built around character, humility, discipline, gener- osity and the relationship between horse and rider.
