Les ajouts, qui seront dispo- nibles pour utilisation au printemps 2020, offriront plus de variété pour les conducteurs de VTT dans la forêt com- munautaire et élimineront également les sections de sentiers qui suivaient les routes locales. Every municipality in Prescott-Russell and the rest of Ontario received some welcome news from the province as they begin their 2020 budget planning. The Ford Progressive Conservative govern- ment announced early approval of next year’s Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund grants (OMPF). The funding formula for the 2020 OMPF grants will remain the same as for the 2019 grants. So, all municipalities will receive the same amount of money from the fund next year as they did this year, with the figures based on household population total estimates for the past year and other factors. OMPF funding totals /FYUZFBS $IBNQMBJO5PXOTIJQXJMMSF - DFJWF JO0.1'GVOEJOH&BTU Hawkesbury Township will get $283,500, while the Town of Hawkesbury will receive $2,017,400. For Alfred-Plantagenet Township, its OMPF funding will be $1,400,800, while the Village PG$BTTFMNBOSFDFJWFT 5IF/B - tion Municipality will get $717,600. The City of Clarence-Rockland’s OMPF allocation for 2020 will be $615,300 while Russell Township will receive $180,800. The United Counties of Prescott-Russell (UCPR) will not receive OMPF funding, accord- ing to the provincial government’s information

Un incendie, survenu le 25 octobre dernier, a causé la fermeture temporaire du restaurant Joe’s Bar & Grill (autrefois Dunn’s Famous), à Hawkesbury. À l’heure de mettre sous presse, l’entrée principale du restaurant était toujours recouverte de contreplaqué. « Nous travaillons actuellement à la réparation des dommages et nous ne sommes pas certains de notre date d’ouverture, pouvait- on lire sur la page Facebook du restaurant. Nous tenons à remercier le Service des incendies de Hawkesbury et le détachement de Hawkesbury de la Police provinciale de l’Ontario pour leur courage et leur service. Le travail rapide du Service des incendies a atténué ce qui aurait pu être un résultat bien pire. Nous souhaitons également prendre un moment pour remercier tous nos clients et notre communauté pour tout l’amour et le soutien qu’ils nous ont témoignés. » On ignore toujours la cause de l’incendie ou l’étendue de celui-ci. —photo Francis Racine
