Monitoring
Program Overview Town staff should monitor and report on spending and key housing metrics to track the efficacy of programs over time, based on the annual allocation plan. The Town can publish an annual report or maintain a website that tracks key metrics for residents to access.
How Does it Work?
Key Monitoring Activities: • Monitor and Evaluate Progress • Set and Annual Allocation Plan • Publish and Annual Report Track Housing Metrics: • Units produced • Units preserved • Target affordability levels • Households served • Dollars spent per household Disaggregate Data: • Race/ethnicity • Income level • Household size • Housing tenure (renter, homeowner)
IMPLEMENTATION
1. Set annual housing goals along with detailed performance metrics. 2. Prepare an annual housing report to track the Town’s spending on housing programs and the number of households served. 3. Make a public report and/or live dashboard, hosted on the Town’s website.
