Sustainability Report | 2025
SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT
In 2025, Sofap produced 87.5% water-based paint & 12.5% solvent-based paint.
Even before the paint is produced, sustainability has been embedded in the thinking process where the Quality control and Research & Development
team works aside
with the procurement team.
RAW MATERIALS ARE SELECTED BASED ON A COMBINATION OF TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE, REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT, AND SUPPLIER RELIABILITY.
Compliance with international standards and regulations concerning hazardous substances.
Preference for low volatile organic compounds
Durability and longer coating life cycle, thereby reducing repainting frequency and waste.
Use of materials that support water-based technologies and reduced solvent dependency where technically feasible.
A PROGRESSIVE & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT APPROACH
THE STRATEGY INCLUDES:
Gradual replacement of hazardous substances with safer alternatives whenever technically and commercially viable.
Review of Safety Data Sheets
Development and promotion of low-VOC and water-based coating systems.
Strict control and monitoring of regulated substances in accordance with applicable environmental and safety regulations. (MS3, MS87 and MS 189 Compliance).
(SDS) and regulatory updates to ensure
compliance and risk reduction.
