Greening the factory Indoor plants have been introduced across key areas of the factory to enhance air quality and create a more pleasant working environment. While less than 15 % of paint products are solvent-based, this initiative further supports employee well-being by contributing to a healthier and more uplifting workspace. Carefully selected for their air-purifying properties, species such as pothos, philodendron, snake plants, and spider plants were introduced. These help absorb volatile organic compounds (VOCs) while bringing natural greenery into the workplace.
HEALTH MONTH
Annual Hike Each year, Sofap organises an annual hike, bringing together employees from different departments in a relaxed and informal setting, encouraging them to reconnect with nature. They explored the endemic forest along the Watook Trail and enjoyed the breathtaking view of the Fixon Waterfall. In today's busy routines, opportunities to explore the outdoors or appreciate the natural beauty Mauritius has to offer can be limited. Through this initiative, participants can enjoy the island's scenic landscapes and take time to connect.
