Talk on drug awareness by Kinouété
Mauritius is currently facing a growing challenge related to substance abuse, with drug use increasingly affecting individuals, families, and communities across the country. Beyond its impact on health, substance abuse also carries significant social and economic consequences, making awareness, prevention, and collective action an important issue. In response to this challenge, an awareness session entitled "The Dangers of Drug Abuse and Its Impacts on Individuals and Society" was conducted by Association Kinouété. The session aimed to educate participants on the risks and consequences of drug abuse while promoting responsible decision-making.
Talk on human rights by Dis-Moi
An engaging and informative session was delivered by Dis-Moi on the theme "Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens." This session explored the balance between rights and civic duties in a democratic society. It also aimed to raise awareness on the importance of access to accurate information providing employees with a safe space to ask questions.
Employee vulnerability awareness Lovebridge facilitated an awareness session for managers and supervisors on identifying vulnerable employees. The session focused on building an understanding of the underlying causes of multidimensional poverty and how these contribute to vulnerability in both social and psychological contexts. It also covered how to identify risk factors and behavioural signs of vulnerability amongst employees, as well as the measures the company can implement to provide appropriate support. Sofap adopts a humane and respectful approach, ensuring no employee is formally labelled as “vulnerable.” Identification is based on observation and trust-based, informal discussions, whether related to financial hardship or other personal challenges. The objective is to alleviate employees’ burdens and enable them to come to work with greater peace of mind.
