6. Annual budgets Prepare, monitor and control the annual department budgets to ensure that expenditure is in line with the department’s budget allocation and the business plan. 7. Commercial Management Management of the maintenance department as a business unit within the University, ensuring the department provides value for money 8. Health & Safety Responsible for development and implementation of robust Health & Safety management systems for the department, including policy, organisational arrangements, risk assessment, audit/inspections etc. 9. Technical knowledge Act as University authority for built estate maintenance and grounds issues. Act as Duty Holder for the Whiteknights Lake under the Reservoirs Act. 10. Incident Management Responsible for leading the Maintenance teams in response to major and business critical incidents.
