Man arrested
for bank jobs

An Ottawa man has been charged with
several armed robberies, including a hold-
up at the Caisse Populaire in St-Isidore in
July.
Peter Harding, 41, faces four counts of
armed robbery in connection with the
incidents. A masked man using a fake firearm
had robbed the St-Isidore financial institution
July 21 of last year and a bank in Cobden in
September. Harding has also been charged
with a hold-up December 15, 2009 at a bank
in Merrickville and December 2, 2009 at a
Chesterville bank.
The arrest was made following a joint
investigation conducted by the Pembroke
Supercab XTR with optional equipment shown
and Ottawa Police Services and the Ontario
Provincial Police. After Pembroke police
