Project Location: East of County Road 19 and south of County Road 2 (Lot 19-20, Concession 8), in the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet, United Counties of Prescott and Russell. The Point of Common Coupling (point where Hydro One will connect the project) is located within the road allowance on the east side of County Road 19. This posting is for a proposed Renewable Energy Approval by Pendleton Energy Centre GP Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of Pendleton Energy Centre Limited Partnership for the Pendleton Solar Energy Project. The Project is subject to the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act (the Act) Part V.0.1 and Ontario Regulation 359/09 (the Regulation). This Notice is being distributed in accordance with section 15(1) and (2) of the Regulation after an application for a renewable energy approval has been submitted to, and assessed for completeness by, the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change and has been posted on the Environmental Registry for public review.

Le 17 novembre prochain, Mme Carrière prendra l’avion à destination de la ville de Calcutta, en Inde, où elle passera les deux prochaines semaines de sa vie dans un village dépourvu d’électricité. Au cours du projet, Mme Carrière et les 17 autres participants qui l’accompagneront auront l’occasion, entre autres, de s’impli- quer dans une petite école du village, de s’investir au sein du Centre Mère Thérésa, qui vient en aide aux enfants handicapés et aux gens en fin de vie, et ils pourront éga- lement distribuer de la nourriture dans les rues, aux sans-abris. Les membres du projet se sont également engagés à faire des dons matériels aux habi- tants du village. Ils partiront donc chacun avec deux valises : une valise personnelle et une autre remplie d’objets à donner. Des vêtements pour bébés et pour enfants, des sacs d’école, des crayons, des cahiers pour écrire, des articles de premiers soins, des brosses à dents, des tubes de dentifrice, des brosses pour les cheveux, des savons, du shampoing, du shampoing de traitement de poux et des pompes d’asthme ne sont que quelques exemples des articles qui rem- pliront la seconde valise des participants. La motivation première de Mme Car- rière lui est venue à la suite du passage de Rachel Lapierre, présidente de l’organisme Le Book humanitaire, à l’émission télévisée Tout le monde en parle . Le voyage queMme Carrière s’apprête à vivre est organisé par cet organisme. « J’ai vraiment aimé cette entrevue. En la regardant, j’entendais une voix qui me disait ‘viens’ ! Alors j’ai envoyé un courriel avec toutes mes informations en me disant que si j’avais une réponse, j’irais », s’est exprimé Mme Carrière. Cette passionnée de voyages n’en est pas à sa première mission humanitaire. Elle a, dans le passé, amassé une somme de 5000 $ On reconnaît Mme Carrière lors de son ascension jusqu’au premier camp de base du Mont Everest, au Népal, en 2010. Pour relever ce défi, elle s’était engagée à amasser des fonds afin de financer l’achat d’un appareil pour l’hôpital Montfort. La somme de 5000 $ a été amassée. —photo fournie
Project Description: Pursuant to the Act and Regulation, the facility, in respect of which the Project is to be engaged in, is considered to be a Class 3 Solar Facility that will be used to convert solar energy to electricity. If approved, this facility would have a total maximum name plate capacity of 12 MW. The Project location is shown in the map. Documents for Public Inspection: The final REA reports, prepared as part of the submission of a renewable energy application to the MOECC for this project have been posted on the proponent’s website: http://www.edf- en.ca/project/pendleton/. These documents provide information on the proposed Project including location, components, activities, and potential environmental effects. Environmental Registry Posting: A proposal for a REA in respect of the Pendleton Solar Energy Centre has been posted on the Environmental
Registry at www.ebr.gov.on.ca (as referred to in section 5 of the Environmental Bill of Rights, 1993). The posting number is 013-1685. Comments in respect of the proposal may be submitted to the Director (O. Reg. 521/10, s. 7). This proposal has been posted for a 45-day public review and comment period starting October 20, 2017. Any comments must be submitted by December 4, 2017.
