Do primary tooth crowns mystify you? They always sound so simple, right up until you try them on a live pediatric patient. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to diagnose properly for stainless steel crowns and anterior composite crowns. Next, you will be able to see the proper preparation and placement techniques for both (including a live demonstration) and then perform them yourself on a typodont. The course also includes effective rubber dam technique for greater success with these procedures. At the end of this workshop, you will agree that these restorations are a snap! Dr. Greg Psaltis received his BA from Stanford University in 1970, his DDS from the University of California, San Francisco, in 1975 and his Certificate of Specialty, Pediatric Dentistry, University of California, San Francisco, in 1977. He has been a pediatric dentist for 44 years, the last 38 of which have been in private practice in Olympia, Wash. A recipient of the Gordon Christensen Speaker Award, his unique speaking style reflects both his years of experience and his keen observations, thus making his programs informative and entertaining. Dr. Psaltis presently devotes much time to his volunteer projects in Mexico to provide treatment for children who have no access to care.
