Howie Izraelski, RDT, Hons BA
This course will enlighten anyone related with a dental office or dental laboratory. The goal of this course is to help identify and eliminate some of the ongoing struggles and issues that occur on a daily basis between the dental lab and dental office. We will give advice as to how to correct the various obstacles and headaches, such as lost or missing cases, poor impressions, communication between various team members and the challenges of the new digital work space. Examples and slides will be used of problematic cases and issues that have arisen in the past and the steps that were taken to phase out these obstacles from reoccurring. From simple examples, to more complicated implant cases, we touch on a wide variety of concerns, from both the dental lab and dental office’s point of view. This course is interactive and allows/depends on audience participation, so that all attendees will walk away with new strategies and approaches for a more seamless dental lab-office relationship.. Learning Objectives: • Dental office issues and how we can fix them: what to take into account before a patient leaves the dental office • Dental laboratory issues and how we can fix them with communication; organization, external and internal dental lab factors • Digital issues and how we can fix them; seamless workflow
