A compelling application of adaptive-reuse, sustainability, healthy living and superior design, this 309-acre agrihood located in Palm Springs packs a punch and acts as stellar model for community land planning. On trend with today’s consumer preferences, this project team employed creativity and innovation transforming a built, but never played, golf course into 97 acres of open space, parks, trails, neighborhood gardens and groves, including 70 acres of olive trees. With Modernist- inspired architecture applied throughout the homes and amenities, this walkable and connected community is iconic and on the verge of idyllic while at the same time livable, comfortable and accommodating. Further defined as “eco-modern”, the community guidelines prescribe that all homes be built with solar applications. This project, for so many reasons, was a unanimous judges favorite.
