Chelsea Richardson is passionate about all things design, and her role as Principal and Vice President of Jeffrey DeMure + Associates Architects Planners (JD+A), is a direct reflection of her diverse skills and talents in that realm. Integral to the studio’s marketing and design initiatives, Chelsea is constantly and consistently striving to foster JD+A’s culture and unique client experience. With her unique background in leadership, business management, marketing, writing, graphic design, and communications, Chelsea has been involved with each of the studio’s projects since joining the studio in 2005. She seeks to capture and articulate the vision, character, and texture of the communities and residences the studio designs and endeavors to elevate and transform design solutions in collaboration with the studio’s talented design team.
Symone is an assistant editor for Zonda’s BUILDER and Multifamily Executive magazines. She also has stories in other company publications, including REMODELING and ARCHITECT. She earned her B.S. in Journalism and a minor in Business Communications from Towson University.
With over 25 years of professional experience in the field of urban design and planning, Ike brings extensive experience to IDEArc Architecture and Planning. Projects completed by Ike include master planned communities, destination resorts, entertainment/ retail venues, commercial/industrial centers, and multi-purpose public facilities. Internationally, he has spent 15 plus years applying his skills in planning to rapidly growing countries such as the Philippines, China, and Mexico. His abilities encompass all aspects of the land design process, from the formulation of master plan concept, detailed site development plans, and “value-added” land studies. Ike’s expertise in interpreting the “lay of the land” enable him to develop site specific solutions that incorporate form, function, and cost considerations facilitating the client’s decision-making process. In addition to his design skills, Ike has in-depth project management experience. Given the critical nature of collaboration and community buy-in, his ability to facilitate client and public relationships, concisely communicate project vision to shareholders, and coordinate multi- disciplinary consultant teams has resulted in new communities, neighborhoods, and urban environments that are distinctive places of lasting value and significance.
Louis Bretana is committed to meaningful, innovative design and ensures each client solves their toughest development challenges while simultaneously realizing project goals. Louis has an extremely diverse portfolio, with extensive experience in all aspects of commercial, retail, interiors, and residential products ranging from custom homes to high density multifamily housing throughout the world. Some of his international experience include numerous projects in China, Africa and the Middle East. Over the course of his 15+ year tenure with Danielian Associates, Louis has played an integral role in helping shape the design philosophy and the firm’s culture. He directs R&D design efforts and enhances communication and processes throughout each of the different design studios. Louis is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Architecture and maintains active involvement with numerous building industry organizations including the American Institute of Architects, USC Architectural Guild.
