TGRA Authority to Conduct Hearings
§ The authority of the TGRA is established within the Gaming Ordinance of each Tribe, pursuant to the lawful requirements of IGRA. § Power should be granted to the TGRA to monitor and regulate all gaming activities conducted within the jurisdiction and authority of the Tribe. § The Gaming Ordinance should grant the authority to ensure that the Tribe’s gaming laws are fully and fairly enforced in accordance with principles of fundamental fairness and due process of law in relation to all persons involved with gaming activities under the jurisdiction of the Tribe. § The Gaming Ordinance should provide the authority and jurisdiction of the TRGRA to conduct hearings pertaining to all matters arising under the gaming ordinance, to include patron disputes, licensure matters, violations of laws and regulations, sanctions, and penalties.
