Submit the Operating Statement exported by your accounting software (it may be called “Profit and Loss Statement,” “Income Statement,” “Operating Statement,” etc.). This is fast and easy to do and is an important tool in evaluating the efficiency of your business. 6.1.8 Payroll Calculator The Payroll Calculator is used to ensure your adhering to federal and state minimum wage and overtime requirements. It is also used as documentation to the Department of Labor that you have reviewed each week’s payroll for minimum wage and overtime and adjusted your payroll properly. The Payroll Calculator is in excel format and imports route revenue, payroll percentages, position of employee and total hours worked to calculate any adjustments needed. 6.1.9 Employee Application Form The application form is available in English and Spanish and should be completed in full by each applicant. The form contains information necessary for you to evaluate the suitability of each applicant. Prior to conducting an interview, ensure that the form is entirely filled out, since this information forms the basis for the interview. Neatness, thoroughness, and questions regarding how the form is to be completed can often reveal the applicant’s attitude toward the job. The employee application is provided as part of the initial package. 6.1.10 Employee Handbook To establish consistent written company policies that can consistently and equitably be administered, the use of an Employee Handbook is required. The Profit and Loss (P&L) is the main source of this information. This information gives you and the home office the data necessary to fine-tune your business.  Your current P&L must be sent to the MOLLY MAID home office by the 15th of each month with year to date figures (YTD) and percentages. 
