9. START UP
9.1 Apply co mpressed air t o t he man ifold .
9.2 Energize (push t he ST ART button ) for the main blower.
9.3 Energize the Turbo Digital Pulse Co ntro l ( reverse j e t pulse co ntrol), if so equipped.
9.4 Energize othe r auxiliary e quipment, as re quired.
9.5 COMMENT S RE GARDING FIL TE R DIF FERENT IAL PRESSURE DURIN G O PERATION:
9.5.1 Dependin g o n operatin g co nditions, reachin g equ ilibrium for filte r differentia l p ressure may vary from a f ew h ours t o several weeks . Low d us t loadin g w ill n ormally d evelop 1-2”w.g. , norm al loading typically generat es 2-5”w.g., and h igh loadin g varies fro m 5 - 10”w.g. 9.5.2 Low d us t loadin g t ypically sho ws a steady lev e l o f d ifferentia l p ressure with v ery lit tl e fluctuations o nce eq uilibrium is r eached . By contrast, h eavy lo adin g ca n p roduce significan t “Ups a nd Downs” in o peratin g d ifferent ial pressure . 9.5.3 If y ou r un it is eq uipped with t he p rogrammable p ulse contro l, then it is u sually n ecessary t o gradually (ove r a period o f w ee ks or months) raise t he high and lo w set points t o r efle ct the n orm al buildup o n t he fil ters.
10. SHUTDOWN
10.1 De-energize (p ush t he STOP button ) the b lowe r motor. The digita l re verse p ulse cl eanin g s ystems are equipped with an “Off L ine Cl eaning” fe ature which a ctivates t he reverse j e t pulse cleaning . This elemen t will clean the filter ca rtridges while t he un it is o ff lin e, for a prese t numbe r of p ulses . Once t he cl eanin g cy cle is co mple te t he collecto r is r eady t o b e en ergized when n eeded.
10.2 Secure p owe r to t he d igita l rev erse pulse co ntrol.
10.3 Secure p owe r to t he ligh ts, a nd o the r auxiliary equipment.
CAUTION: Off line cleaning can cause pressure waves to feed back through system. Precautions may be necessary to prevent dusting.
