MP offers reassurance on NAFTA dairy trade talks between President Trump and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau concerning the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

He noted that the U.S. Chamber of Com- merce organization has stated that it is happy with NAFTA “as it is” and is reluctant to see any major revisions. Drouin also observed that for 35 American states “their first custo- mer is Canada” and that a border tax would hit them hardest. “It’s amatter of toning down the rhetoric,” Drouin said. “Our biggest challenge is that we don’t know exactly what it is they (Ame- rican government officials) want.”

Un rappel que les sentiers du Club de VTT de l’Est Ontario Inc. sont fermés pour la période de dégel, comme mandaté par les municipalités locales. L’exploitation d’un véhicule hors route sur un bien public est une infraction pendant une période de dégel affichée. Cela inclut les autorisations de chemins fermés et ouverts et les sentiers. Les dommages causés pendant le dégel printanier ne sont souvent pas réparables et peuvent entraîner la fermeture permanente des sentiers. Les sentiers ouvriront à nouveau le 15 mai.
