GB & ROI CONSTRUCTION WINNER: GB & RoI Construction Project above £10m GRAHAM MOSSLEY HILL MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY GRAHAM has delivered transformative mental health services for Mersey Care NHS, creating a modern, safe environment enhancing patient recovery, privacy and wellbeing. Replacing outdated dormitories with 80 single en-suite bedrooms and various therapeutic spaces, Mossley Hill Mental Health Facility has already achieved a 60% reduction in length of stay, self-harm and use of seclusion. Early contractor involvement, extensive clinical engagement and a multidisciplinary approach addressed complex risks from the outset. Digital innovation underpinned delivery, with an ISO 19650-aligned BIM strategy creating a fully auditable Golden Thread of information. Exceptional outcomes included zero RIDDOR incidents across 1.31 million hours, 99.6% waste diversion from landfill and a fully-electric, net-zero-ready building.

Through careful planning, integrated teamwork and engineering excellence, Woodvale Construction has achieved a high-quality contemporary fit-out within a technically- complex live operational environment. The project completed phase two of an investment programme at Mallon Foods, redeveloping existing plant and adding new administration and staff welfare facilities. Extensive mechanical, electrical and life-saving installations were incorporated within a live, evolving environment, requiring close co-ordination between structural, architectural and building services disciplines. Stringent H&S controls, segregated access routes and detailed logistics planning ensured uninterrupted factory operations throughout construction. Woodvale overcame every challenge to maintain the programme.
