TES WATER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROJECT DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING, INCORPORATING ALL CRITICAL MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND PROCESS INFRASTRUCTURE… TES Water delivers MEICA package
TES Water was appointed to deliver a complete MEICA (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation) and process design package on behalf of NI Water. Its scope included the design, construction, installation and commissioning of the new treatment facility, incorporating all critical mechanical, electrical and process infrastructure. The project involved the installation of a new motor control centre, pumps, pipework, valves, GAC filter beds, aeration systems, chemical dosing systems and extensive instrumentation for monitoring flow, level, pressure and water quality. TES Water also delivered the building
services package, including lighting, power distribution, ventilation, crane systems, fire and security systems, lightning protection and CCTV. Brian Bradley, Contracts Manager, says, “As with many live water infrastructure projects, maintaining operational continuity while delivering a major upgrade was a key challenge. Careful planning, close collaboration with NI Water and the principal contractor, and a phased approach to commissioning, ensured that works were completed safely and efficiently while minimising disruption to water treatment operations. “Our in-house design, engineering and commissioning teams worked closely together throughout the project to identify risks early and implement
practical solutions.” The project showcases TES Water’s ability to deliver a complete turnkey water treatment solution, from initial process design through to final commissioning, demonstrating its expertise across multiple disciplines, including process engineering, electrical systems, mechanical installation, automation and chemical dosing technologies.
