The project utilised BIM 3D modelling to improve coordination and reduce clashes during construction. An innovative submersible pumping station solution was also adopted, improving efficiency while reducing construction time, cost and carbon. Richard Alcorn, Project Manager, says, “Successfully delivering a prestigious £19.5m water infrastructure project on time and within budget, while maintaining uninterrupted service throughout construction, was a significant achievement. “The project had to be delivered within a live operational water treatment works while maintaining continuous water supply to customers.
