schools and communities in establishing emergency action plans for incidences of sudden cardiac arrest. Affiliates provide the foundation for schools to plan and develop their programs, including planning templates, a reference manual and one-on-one consultation on how to help prevent sudden cardiac death in the school setting. Riley Children’s has helped 78 Indiana schools become “heart safe” since 2021. > Learn more.

Advanced technologies and procedures ■ Transvenous pacemaker system placement involving conduction system pacing (His bundle and left bundle branch pacing) in children and adults with congenital heart disease – Offering this procedure since 2016, electrophysiologists at Riley Children’s have participated in multicenter trials and published journal articles highlighting its use. ■ Leadless pacing ■ Extra-vascular implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) placement ■ Pulse-field ablation The electrophysiology team at Riley Children’s treats children and young adults with a variety of arrhythmia presentations, including the most complex. Year over year we achieve excellent outcomes for these patients.

program, both providing subspecialty consultation and care. Team members include both a dedicated EP nurse and a nurse dedicated to caring for patients with devices.

Since 2020, Riley electrophysiologists have performed more than 550 cases with 0 adverse events. ***
