Through a team of 35 rating surveyors based across a UK and Ireland office network CBRE have long term track record of delivering results on single assets and national portfolios.

Cash flow and budgeting Through a dedicated rates audit team, CBRE recover historic overpayments whether they be due to error, retrospective taxation relief, or change brought about by legal recourse. CBRE audit service extends across wider property costs and taxes including capital allowances and utility payments. Accurate information ensuring their clients can budget for future rating costs with confidence.

Leveraging changing circumstances Changes which impact on the use or occupation of a property can give rise to a rates savings opportunity. By thinking creatively, ensuring that all new savings opportunities are captured.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an established ratings surveyor to work on an unrivalled portfolio of blue chip clients including occupiers, investors and developers, joining an organisation regarded as a leader within the industry. The Rating & Taxation team is recognised as one of the most successful and dynamic teams within CBRE and has considerably increased turnover and profitability over the last two years, resulting in the need for an additional team member to provide support to the Senior Director, and lead an established team of ratings surveyors. This immediate need will offer the opportunity to work alongside fellow directors and be a key contributor in the development of business opportunities which largely come from internal referrals, and and have a focus on Central London offices and retail.

JOB ROLE

The Management Recruitment Group has been appointed by CBRE to source a Director within the Rating & Taxation team in Central London to act as a key client relationship manager and to execute appeals on behalf of an established client base. This is an exceptional opportunity for an established rating professional with a strong track record of providing a full range of services to a blue chip client base. CBRE is regarded as a leader within the industry and has experienced growth through winning more work and increasing market share. The Rating & Taxation department has considerably increased turnover and profitability over the last two years. Alongside the fellow directors, the successful candidate will assist in business development in order to further grow the department which has a focus on retail, retail banking and Central London offices. With the ability to demonstrate a proven record of extracting value for clients in relation to their business rates, a strong network of contacts with other rating professionals, as well as having an established working relationship with the valuation office. You will have experience of delivering tangible results for your clients, be comfortable appearing at potentially high profile tribunals and have an understanding of how to maximise value from the appeals system.

It is expected that you will be able to work with a range of property professionals who appreciate and understand the full life cycle of the process and market.
