mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the L ord thy God giveth thee, for ever.” While these words were given to ancient Israel, they also apply to the day in which we live. If our nation as a whole would turn back to God, it would be the best protection pos sible for the future. Apparently the entire nation will not love the Lord and keep His commandments, but we as individuals may do so in full as surance that the blessing of God will rest upon us. Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another . . .” (John 13:34). Again He said, “ If ye love me, keep my com mandments” (John 14:15). In John 15:10 we read, “ If ye keep my com mandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” OBJECT: A recipe box. LESSON: Most boys and girls are in terested in recipes for they have the promise of something good to eat. I brought a recipe file with me today. sheet to represent the two tables of the law. To the left of the gap print Roman numerals I to V. To the right, numerals VI to X .) LESSON: This piece of paper in my hand is marked, “ statutes,” which means the commandments and in structions which God had given His people. In Deuteronomy 4:1, we read, “ Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judg ments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the L ord God of your fathers giveth you.” If we open the paper, we shall see some of the same words. We read, “ Israel told hearken unto instructions that lengthen days.” It is true that nations which listen to the Lord’s commandments and obey them, live longer than those which disobey God’s commandments. We find this truth stated in Deuteronomy 4:40, “ Thou shalt keep th e re fo r e his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou

Dr. Graham says, "During the last few years we have been putting a mild label on sin. We have called it ‘error/ ‘neg ative action/ and ‘in herent fault/ but it is high time that we put a 'poison' label back on the bottle and not be afraid to be as plain as the Bible is about the t r a g i c consequences of sin /’ Dr. Graham strikingly reveals the Scriptural secrets of victory over the com

recipe. It reads, “ Recipe for a happy home.” Most people want to have a happy home, so I think I had better read it. Item No. 1 reads, “ To have a happy home each member of the home CONTINUED
