should be a Christian.” A verse of Scripture is given: “ . . . thou shalt love the L ord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might” (Deut. 6:5). Christians are the only ones who can do this. Item No. 2 tells us, “ To have a happy home, those who are Christians should marry Christians.” This Bible verse is given: “ Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? . . .” (2 Cor. 6:14). Item No. 3 reads, “ Parents should teach their children the Word of God.” Another verse is given, “And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up” (Deut. 6:7). If all Chris tian parents were teaching the Word of God to their children and talking about the Bible, there would be more happy homes. Item No. 4 states, “ Obedience is necessary to have a happy home.” Ephesians 6:1-3 is the Scripture quot ed: “ Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.” If you want to have a happy home, and I am sure you do, be careful to follow the rules of this recipe. OBJECT: A paper heart as large as visibility requires. (In the middle of the heart draw the picture of a large ear. Just below the “V ” in the heart and above the ear print an “H.” Be low the ear near the heart’s point, print a “ T.” Fold the heart with the “H” backward just above the ear and the part with the “ T” just below the ear.) LESSON: I want to show you a word picture today. You will recognize it as being the picture of an ear. I did not print the word out for you as I am sure you know that e-a-r is the way to spell it. Please keep in mind the way it is spelled throughout the lesson.
