AT THE RANCH – VALENTINE, NEBRASKA

WELCOME

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in our 44th Production sale! Although we always appreciate the opportunity to showcase our cowherd, this sale will definitely have a bittersweet slant to it as we will be letting go of some of our most productive, profitable females from the heart of the herd. As we try to balance our feed and labor resources, a herd reduction sale of this magnitude seemed like the best way to move forward while trying to maintain some semblance of a work-life balance. The “F” model females that will sell represent all of the females born in 2018, none are being held back. The younger females in the sale will be a true cross-section of all age groups from the rest of the herd, the selection criteria being a calving date after October 1st. This cowherd is the result of over 50 years of a strict breeding philosophy geared toward producing bulls that make our commercial cattlemen successful, and profitable over the years. Those customers, and their continued success is what has allowed our program to flourish and grow over time. We are proud of the progeny records and sales that are represented by the cows in this offering, and would love the opportunity to show and discuss them with you. If you are in the area ahead of the sale, please stop in for a visit, or feel free to call us any time with questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you on sale day at the ranch! Tim and Kim move to Gordon, Nebraska when they purchase part of the ground that Kim’s family had homesteaded and TK Angus becomes a full-time occupation. 1991

Tim and Kim are married, and the TK prefix was adopted. Tim and Kim both have full time jobs in town, supporting the cattle business. 1984

The first TK Angus female sale is held. 1994

The first Annual TK Angus bull sale is held in Ogallala, Nebraska. 1989

Tim starts showing Angus breeding heifers purchased from Joe Giles of Ainsworth, NE. He showed fived Grand or Reserve Grand Champions at the Nebraska State Fair. The Tesa and Edella cow families go back to these foundation females. The pedigree prefix on these cattle was T Bar M. 1974-1978

SAV Downpour 8794 was purchased for $100,000. Another Pathfinder sire that has had an outsized impact on our program. 2019

TK Steamboat D307 is born. Steamboat sold half interest and half possession to JW Simonson for $24,000. 2016

Musgrave 316 Stunner was purchased for $83,000. Another Pathfinder sire that had a massive impact on our breeding program, and his influence can be seen in many of our current pedigrees. 2017

December 15th, 2025 Annual bull sale averages $10,682 on 148 bulls, with a high selling bull at $32,500. Many of the dam’s of these bulls will be offered June 1st! 2025

MONDAY, JUNE 1, 2026 – 11:30 AM 4 AT THE RANCH – VALENTINE, NEBRASKA Our History

TK Krugerrand 397 is born. This Pathfinder sire from the Prairie Queen cow family can be found in many of our pedigrees today. 1997

SydGen Mandate was purchased in the 2007 Sydenstricker sale, and was later leased to ABS. 2007

Connealy Deep Canyon 454 was purchased for $28,000. This Pathfinder sire is a highly influential maternal influence in many of our pedigrees. He was also the maternal grandsire of Connealy Final Product, who eventually sired another TK Angus Pathfinder herd sire, Sitz Investment. 2001

Purchased SAF Strategy 9015, along with ABS, for $10,000 from Sydenstricker’s. 1999

SydGen Bullet was purchased, when half interest sold for $30,000 in Sydenstricker’s sale. Bullet sired growthy, easy mannered, highly productive females for us. 2005

Connealy Contractor was purchased for $25,000. 2010

TK Angus moved to Wood Lake, Nebraska. The new ranch was a move back to Tim’s roots in the Sandhills, with the main headquarters being only 12 miles as the crow flies from where Tim’s family homesteaded in 1886. 2013

SAV Prosperity 9131 was purchased along with Select Sires and the Prosperity group for $135,000. This Pathfinder sire saw natural service here at the ranch, and left us many excellent daughters. 2010

SAV Platinum 001, and SAV Paramount 0115 were purchased for $35,000 and $45,000 respectively. 2011

SAV Renown 3439 was purchased for $175,000. This Pathfinder sire has arguably as much maternal influence on our herd as any bull we have used. 2014

BREEDING INFORMATION All females selling will be ultrasound tested and confirmed to be pregnant prior to the sale and will sell as guaranteed bred as of sale day. The ultrasound due date and breeding information is listed to the best of our knowledge however, it is not a guarantee of an AI vs. natural service calf. Due to pasture management practices we have multiple bulls turned out in each breeding group. Those sire groups are listed here and each lot will be noted with which group they were exposed to. Cows are pulled off of natural heats to be AI’d, and in most cases are AI’d to one of the bulls that they are exposed to. If the ultrasound due date corresponds to an AI date, the AI service sire is listed. The calves will need to be DNA parent verified to be registered. A.I. SERVICE SIRES

Sharpie was the $82,500 high selling bull from 2S Angus in Missouri that was purchased along with Musgrave Angus in Illinois. Sharpie is a stout made bull that is sound, and has a great disposition. His first semen has been highly sought after in the marketplace over the fall and winter sale season with semen averaging over $700/straw. Semen has been opened up to the market this spring at $100/straw however the pregnancies selling in this sale will be on the forefront of a small early sample size with lots of market demand. Thrust was our $40,000 selection from the 2023 SAV sale. Thrust is a very long spined bull that maintains a strong top despite having lots of rib shape and middle. His sons display those same characteristics, and are one of the best sire groups top to bottom that we have ever had. Going back to the dam of Downpour on the bottom side, we expect the females from this bull to be very good. 26 sons averaged $14,461 in our sale last fall. OG (Original Gangster) was the $165,000 high selling bull from Musgrave’s 2024 spring sale. OG was a true standout in Musgrave’s offering for muscle, power, and phenotype with excellent feet and structure. His first calf crop here has been exceptionally consistent and good. We recently weaned 98 OG sons and they had a collective WW ratio of 102. OG is a no-brainer sire of choice. CED BW WW YW SC MILK RE 3 3.7 92 156 0.85 27 0.59

TK Steamboat H664 was the lot 1 bull from our 2021 sale when he fetched a $30,000 valuation from our partner on the bull, Lynden Smith. H664 carried that same thickness and muscle that we expected from the Steamboat sire group and then he added even more rib shape and capacity to that package. His dam was an exceptional female in her own right that sold for $10,000 in our 2022 sale at 8 years of age. After calving out his first daughters, a few which will highlight this sale, we used H664 harder this year. The females are excellent. CED BW WW YW SC MILK RE -1 4.8 94 166 0.68 30 0.67

We are excited to introduce our newest herd sire T&E Long Haul! Long Haul topped the Mr. K/T&E Angus sale at $66,000 where he generated widespread interest for his excellent phenotype, and a very progressive EPD profile. He is exceptionally smooth in his makeup, long sided and athletic, stylish and stout. When you study his numbers he simply stands out for his combination of all of the traits that matter for our customers and the industry. No other bull can match the combination for HP, FL, Claw, Angle, Teat, Udder, and $M that he has. Tie in the great females on the bottom side of his pedigree, we have high expectations for what this bull can bring to the industry. He’s going to be good for the LONG HAUL.
