Closing P rayer.— Dear Lord Jesus we th a n k thee for th y love, and help us to be thy helpers every day.

us in th e Bible th a t children should obey th e ir parents. I know some boys and girls who have to he asked several tim es before they will do w h at fath e r or m other asks them to do. Those kind of helpers are no t real helpers a t all. When Moses asked th e men to help him, they did so rig h t away, and do you know Jesus is looking for helpers every day. This is a g reat big world and th ere is so much w ork to do, th a t Jesus has chosen helpers, and who do you th in k He has chosen to be His helpers? All th e men and women, and all the boys and girls who love Him. How many of you boys and girls w ant to be H is helpers? (Many eight and nine year old, and even younger children can he led 'to a definite acceptance of Jesus as th e ir Saviour. Teachers should know th e ir children, and th e home influence, and lead them to Christ as early as possible, for the world gets them very young these d ay s.) Isn ’t it fine to have Jesus choose us as His helpers, and ju s t as He led Moses and His people Israel, He will lead and guide every one of us th a t will tak e Him as our Saviour.

THE CHORISTER A TH IEF In a New England church it is said th e hymn, “ I love to steal a while away,” was announced. The chorister trie d a tune, bu t when he got as far as “ I love to steal,” found th a t th e m etre would no t suit. Then he trie d another, b u t stuck when he got on as far again as “ I love to steal.” Being well supplied w ith th e grace of perseverance, he resolved to “ try, try ag ain” ; b u t un fo rtun ately had to stop again afte r saying, “ I love to steal.” The pastor w ith a smile rem arked : “ It is very much reg retted . L et us pray.”
