BTG
Announces the signature of a three-year Lifecycle Program Agreement covering 13 consistency sensors. The agreement covers BTG’s high-end rotating MEK consistency transmitters, as well as MBT and RET transmitters integrated into MP Hygiene’s Toscotec tissue machines, including its recent AHEAD 2.2. These instruments play a central role in accurate fiber management, consistent paper quality, and controlled production costs — where precision and repeatability are essential to maintaining performance on high-efficiency tissue lines. Under the Lifecycle Program, BTG will deliver a structured service plan including scheduled preventive maintenance, calibration updates, and exchange unit repairs. This proactive approach secures long-term measurement reliability and protects the performance of critical control points across the process. To supply a BioTrac system with automation for an agro- residue straw-pulp project. The BioTrac system is a pretreatment technology designed to process all kinds of lignocellulosic raw materials, including straw, into high-quality fibers suitable for further refining and papermaking. To deliver a complete Valmet IQ Quality Control System for new production line. The delivery includes a Valmet IQ Scanner L, Valmet IQ Basis Weight Measurement and Valmet IQ IR Moisture Measurement with closed-loop basis weight and moisture controls. To supply an EasyScan™ 500 felt scanning and smart cleaning system for installation on PM2. The PM2 machine, one of the largest containerboard machines in Europe, operates at high speed with a width of about 11 meters and produces paper using 100% recycled fiber. To support performance and operational reliability, the machine will be equipped with the EasyScan™ 500 COBOT, featuring a scanning and cleaning beam extending more than 13 meters across the press section. The system provides fully automated scanning of press fabrics, continuously monitoring parameters such as felt moisture, permeability, and temperature. It also integrates SmartClean™, which enables automated cleaning of press felts using high-pressure water or chemicals. To supply key refining technology for this new pilot ethanol plant that will convert agricultural residues into cellulosic ethanol. The project supports the scale-up of low-carbon fuel production for some of the hardest sectors to decarbonize, such as on-road, heavy duty, rail, marine and air transport, and reflects Andritz’s strategic focus on engineering solutions that enable the green transition. The order involves suppling two refiners to mechanically pre-treat the biomass for conversion into ethanol. Andritz’s scope of supply comprises a single-disc high-consistency refiner and a CompaDisTM CDI low-consistency refiner with a capacity of 10 t/d.
