Non-Priority: Traffic offenses, unsecured buildings, and a category “not classified” which includes lost and found property among other minor housekeeping incidents. As represented by the following graph, community, weapons/violence, and care taking/life safety calls for service have been increasing each year. Each call, such as escorting students to their dorms, can require a minimum of one hour for an officer to respond, assist, and complete the call. More serious calls, such as a suicidal attempt, can take days to complete, from responding, assisting the person, referring them to appropriate resources, following up with the caller, and completing the required paperwork.
