1. Communication: Clearly and timely communication of priorities; mentors and provides constructive feedback to personnel. 2. Fiscal: Ensures transparent, ethical, and accountable operation of financial systems. 3. Change management: Provides leadership and insight needed to adapt to demographic, technological, public policy and other change. 4. Fundraising: Effectively advocates for and secures donor support for CWU. 5. Supervision of personnel: Retains a high-performing individuals who function as a team and lead their units effectively. 6. Freedom of expression: Ensures the opportunity of students, employees, and visiting speakers to express without fear of censorship or condemnation diverse views and opinions on campus. Comments: 1. Fully implement Responsibility-Center Management and Activity- Based Budgeting. 2. Fully implement the updated general education curriculum. 3. Complete the work to update and articulate the CWU baccalaureate experience. 4. Complete and implement a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan that fully funds university aspirations; is consistent with CWU’s mission and values; and that considers all aspects of “enrollment.” Innovation Criteria
