within the university. Edgar Carreño, an ASCWU staff member, has been essential in supporting this office and creating events and gathering information that supports these efforts for students. The importance of these committees and student representation as a part of the shared governance of this University has often been overlooked, and these efforts hope to move this into being a priority of the office and Executive Vice President for the future. In meeting with CWU Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs Joel Klucking, Kane has had discussions regarding parking, the New York Teriyaki building, and the Wildcat Farm that have supported student understanding and thoughts in decisions being made. Kane has also emphasized the importance of Campus Sustainability as a priority for the University and brought a resolution to the ASCWU Officers in support of these efforts and implementing a Sustainability Coordinator at CWU. Overall, Kane has put his best effort into creating the Executive VP’s office into one that is functional and engaged in the office for the benefit of spreading awareness, and keeping organization.
