VETERINARY & TECHNICIAN STUDENTS REGISTRATION Veterinary and Technician Students must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary college or an AVMA CTEA-Accredited Veterinary Technician program. They are also required to provide acceptable identification when registering for SWVS 2026. Acceptable documents are: a copy of a current Student identification card, a letter of verification, or a letter written on official letterhead signed by a professor. Students will NOT receive a CE Certificate. High School students can NOT attend. When registering online, Students can upload their documentation and proof of Student ID verification that is required. This will confirm the student registration immediately, and the student will receive an acknowledgment of their registration. Students who choose to fax or mail their registrations must attach a copy of the acceptable proof of identification document with the registration. GROUP REGISTRATION If you register 4 or more FULL Attendees, you will receive a 20% discount on all your registrations. INTERACTIVE LABS/WORKSHOPS/ MASTER CLASSES/CE TOURS You must be registered for SWVS 2026 (complete or one-day) to attend these ticketed CE offerings. An additional fee is required. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the maximum capacity is reached. IMPORTANT NOTE: The registration deadline for these ticketed CE offerings is August 1. A $50 cancellation fee applies for cancellations made prior to August 1. No refunds of ticketed CE events will be given after August 1 for cancellations. Cancellations cannot be taken over the phone. Cancellations must be submitted via email to swvs@maritz.com. These ticketed CE offerings require a minimum number of registrants. If a session has less than the minimum number required, it will be cancelled on August 1. Participants will be notified and appropriate refunds will be processed. TITER DETERMINATION CLINIC On Saturday, Kansas State will be on-site to offer titer determinations. Results will be sent from Kansas State. Estimated turnaround time is six to eight weeks. Sign up for a titer as you register. We cannot provide any receipts or guarantee reimbursement for insurance. We are not an in-network or out-of- network provider for ANY type of insurance. CE CREDIT INFORMATION SWVS is a continuing education provider and offers 400+ hours of quality CE courses for Veterinarians, Veterinary Students, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Technician Students, Veterinary Assistants, Practice Managers and Office Staff. SWVS is owned by five partner state VMAs, each of which is an affiliate of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). These state veterinary medical exam boards accept/approve SWVS for CE credit. Registrants from other states should check with their state Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners regarding approval of SWVS CE credit. A maximum of 28 CE credit hours are available for the SWVS General Symposium. Additional credit hours are available as listed below. In addition, DVMs licensed in Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma or Texas may claim 2 hours of CE for visiting the SWVS Exhibit Hall. Please check with your state veterinary medical licensing board for specific CE allowances and requirements. It is the individual’s responsibility to maintain and submit CE records as required. Attendees are encouraged to consult their state licensing board for specific allowances and any restrictions on the number of hours accepted for specialty and non-science sessions (practice management). The Practice Management/Office Personnel classes were reviewed and approved by the VHMA program for 34 hours of continuing education in jurisdictions which recognize VHMA approval. Please contact the VHMA program if you have any comments/concerns regarding this program’s validity or relevancy to the veterinary profession. Sat, Sept. 19 | 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Clinical Ophthalmology Interactive master class designed to elevate ophthalmic clinical and diagnostic skills through case-based learning. Common diseases of the cornea, adnexa and lens will be explored, along with refining the interpretation of retinal exams. Sat, Sept. 19 | 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Transaction Trifecta: Strategy, Marketing, & KPIs Helps answer declining client transactions by aligning strategy, marketing, and KPIs into one cohesive system. Attendees will leave with practical tools, scorecards, and a clear roadmap to improve visit frequency and sustainable growth. INTERACTIVE LABS Fri, Sept. 18 | 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Canine Abdominal Ultrasound Morning Lab Hands-on ultrasound lab designed for veterinarians. Participants will rotate through 12 stations, each focusing on a different abdominal ultrasound skill. Small groups with hands-on scanning time on live dogs to build confidence and competence in core ultrasound techniques. Fri, Sept. 18 | 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Canine Joint Injection Lab Hands-on lab to practice the techniques covered in the joint injection for canine osteoarthritis lecture. Key approaches include the coxofemoral, stifle, shoulder and elbow joints. If time permits, the tarsus, carpus and digits will also be practiced.
SAN ANTONIO ZOO CE TOUR This visit to San Antonio Zoo’s Animal Health Center will start with a welcome at the newly renovated Fiesta Entrance featuring a unique gorilla statue marking the return of gorillas to San Antonio after more than 30 years! Attendees will walk behind the scenes up to the Animal Health Center for the start of the tour. At the Animal Health Center, attendees will divide into groups for a guided tour of the facility. The tour will include the treatment room, surgery room, lab, pharmacy, and hospital quarantine/diet prep areas. During each rotation, veterinary team members will discuss the work they do in that area. These sessions go in-depth into preventative care plans, including physical examinations, medication protocols, and the types of diagnostics utilized. The team will also discuss unique husbandry challenges, animal training programs, and enrichment strategies used to support the overall health and well-being of zoo animals. After the tour, attendees will have an opportunity to explore the park and visit Congo Falls, the zoo’s newest habitat, to meet the gorillas.

SeaWorld CE Tour
SeaWorld guides will meet the attendees at the entrance and then split into groups; the tour includes a visit to major exhibits in the park and a brief lecture by Sr. Vet at SeaWorld; the shuttle departs from the Convention Center at 12:45 PM; the tour is approximately 3 hours; shuttle returns around 5:00 PM.
