Traffic Division
Air Support One relief flight officer completed training.
Increased training for the Division to help offic- ers maintain and improve skills. Training includ- ed: Solo Motor, DWI, TacMed, and CIT training. Abandoned Vehicle Enforcement vehicles were ordered and are awaiting arrival and installation of equipment. Traffic Investigations received training on the robotic mapping station. City Council approved the purchase of 150 elec- tronic citation writers for the Police Department to use on October 2, 2017. Ordered new DWI vehicles with low profile light packages.
Training 3 relief flight officers.
Minimized out of air/out of service time by 8 hours/ week during peak hours of need. FWPD Air Support Standard Operating Proce- dures manual is being developed.
