This year the association held the meeting at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. Flint Group Acquires Printec Industries Flint Group has acquired Printec In- dustries, Inc. located in Marietta, Geor- gia. Printec manufactures and sells water-based inks for flexo and gravure applications to a group of key printers in the NorthAmerican region. High-End Supplier Printec, which was founded in 1991, supplies inks for high-end paper cups, plates, folding cartons, and other specialty applications. Flint Group’s Packaging & Narrow Web division manufactures and sup- plies inks and coatings to the Paper & Board, Flexible Packaging, Narrow Web and Sheetfed segments around the world. Expanding Reach With the intent of expanding its packaging businesses in the North American region, the company re- cently acquired Advanced Color Sys- tems, Inc. (ACS) and American Inks and Coatings (AIC). The addition of Printec is another step in this strate- gic journey to support customers in this region.
