BLUE GOLD WELCOME: AUGUST 18-20 Showcase and Chancellor’s Picnic, 5:00 p.m. Campus Greens Meet new people and get to know the campus culture at UNK MONDAY, AUGUST 21 FIRST DAY OF CLASSES THURSDAY, AUGUST 24 DESTINATION DOWNTOWN FRIDAY, AUGUST 25 LPAC MOVIE NIGHT This event is hosted by LPAC (Loper Programming and Activities Council). Bring your blankets, pillows, and new friends to watch a movie on the campus greens. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31 STUDENT GOVERNMENT STUDENT ORGANIZATION FAIR Over 150 student organizations welcome you to UNK. Ask the Student Engagement Office how to get involved and develop leadership skills that will take you far in life. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 LPAC TRIVIA NIGHT Test your trivia knowledge and join LPAC for the first Trivia night of the fall semester. This is a great way to meet new friends, test your trivia skills and enjoy some snacks. SEPTEMBER 25-30 HOMECOMING WEEK Creating memories with your fellow students will last a lifetime and Homecoming week is a fantastic week on campus. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 HOMECOMING LIP SYNC You will love this Homecoming tradition. Join a team and battle it out with unique and creative lip sync routines. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 HOMECOMING PARADE Check out the Homecoming festivities, check out the Kearney community and Homecoming Parade in beautiful downtown Kearney. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3-4 UNK FAMILY WEEKEND The UNK Community, along with the Parent and Family Association will host a family weekend. Enjoy tailgating prior to a Loper Football game and connect with UNK families. Many activities are being planned for that weekend so stay tuned for more. JANUARY 21-27, 2024 WELCOME HOME WEEK
