Volunteer drivers needed Anyone with a vehicle and a bit of time to spare can help out Services communautaires de Prescott-Russell Community Services (SCPRCS). The non-profit social service group needs vol- unteer drivers to help get some of their clients to their medical appointments.Volunteer drivers receive 47 cents per kilometre to help cover their gasoline and other travel expenses during the run.The agency is also looking for volunteers to help deliver meals in Casselman and Limoges as part of the Meals-on-Wheels program. In CanSkate, everyone is a winner because they are having fun as they learn how to skate. So, Sunday morning, the podium set up in the mezzanine area of the viewers’ gallery of the Clarence-Rockland Arena was occupied almost at a steady rate by happy young skaters and their proud parents during the CanSkate fun challenge portion of the Skate Canada Interclub 2016 regionals hosted by the Rockland Skating Club. Taking their turn on the podium for the camera here are Morgan and Joanne Wyche and their daughter, Lia (left), while on the right are KenzieMuzzerall and her parents, Lori and Cliff. The flights of STAR-level skaters, both individual and team elements, occupied both pads of the arena all the rest of Sunday. —photos Gregg Chamberlain
