Innovations for David Yurman

David Yurman personifies the art of jewelry making, from the celebrated Cable bracelet to the signature Albion collection. For 35 years, Yurman and his wife, Sybil, have created their own aesthetic equilibrium of form, color, light and shape. Yurman’s vision stands front and center in Saks Fifth Avenue, where a custom-fabricated display showcases his finest work against a backdrop illustrating his creative process through overlaid video of sketches and silhouettes, and in David Yurman stores across the U.S. Our Role Duggal’s Steve Arnesen has been working with the David Yurman brand since 2007, collaborating with the brand’s retail and in-store designers to bring their visions to life.

The Gallery@Spring: NYC Fashion History Through LIFE Archives As LIFE magazine celebrated its 80th anniversary in Summer 2016, the Gallery@Spring featured images from original LIFE photographers who captured the fashion icons from the 1940s to 1970s, including Audrey Hepburn, Eartha Kitt, Jessica Tandy, Marlon Brando, Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt and Marilyn Monroe. Our Role Duggal fine art manager Hillary Altman and production coordinator Jonathan Springer consulted with Spring Studios to produce the prints for The Gallery@Spring, including scanning from the original negatives, image restoration, framing and printing (both color and black and white).

Duggal Innovations: Our Award-Winning Presence at GlobalShop 2016 For more than 50 years, Duggal has had the privilege of working with the world’s top artists, photographers, retailers and corporations. Through our many collaborations, amazing things have happened. We inspire each other and work together to make our customers stand out through our unique mix of old- world craftsmanship and the technology of tomorrow.

Duggal has channeled decades of professional practice to focus on building a diverse range of capabilities based on stunningly new technologies. The results were on full display in our award- winning presence at GlobalShop 2016, the world’s largest visual merchandising trade show, where Duggal took home top awards and honors: Best of Competition and Best in Booth Design. “We were impressed with the variety of product and design, and the booth’s bold visual statement,” an awards judge said.

Tourbillon is a focal point of the Miami Design District’s newly developed Palm Court. The distinguished timepiece and jewelry maker attracts shoppers with a unique illuminated display built into the upper level of the storefront’s façade. Our Role Tourbillon designers called on Duggal to achieve their vision of a softly backlit image housed within an architectural “window closet.” Duggal installation experts navigated a two-foot-wide crawl space to install energy-efficient, high-intensity LED light panels along the back wall. The lighting fixtures create a backlit effect on a stretched fabric graphic framed from the inside for a fluid appearance.

Starbucks: Brand Messaging Through Architecture & Design It’s not just the coffee that keeps people coming back; the Starbucks experience is one of superior service, environmental awareness and ethical sourcing stitched together with cohesive, creative design. But instead, they choose to engage visitors with a visual atmosphere and ambiance unique to each location, often drawing inspiration from the surrounding area’s character and lifestyle. Our Role As Starbucks’ preferred graphics and material production consultant, Duggal works alongside their world-class team to develop captivating visuals on unconventional surfaces.

The Bowery community and tourists engaged with the very first ICP installment at its new home while it was still being built, thanks to a window display of vintage black-and-white Weegee imagery. Then came the #helloicp interactive photo mural, which lit up the museum’s facade every evening through October. Our Role Duggal Visual Solutions serves as ICP’s trusted graphics and material consulting provider, bringing the latest large format printing technology to the museum’s street level windows. For ICP, an Exciting New Chapter Begins
