Wait Listing Every effort will be made to create a spot for you in a session. You will be contacted ONLY if a spot has been created. Class Cancellations Classes may be cancelled due to lack of registrations. We reserve the right to change or cancel programs if necessary. Every effort will be made to avoid these changes. In the event of inclement weather, listen to Easy101.3, like us on Facebook or check www.tillsonburg.ca for updates. HST Fees in this guide are subject to HST. Note that HST does not apply to programs for children 14 years of age and under (excluding rentals). Transfer Requests Class transfer must occur prior to the third class and will be based on class availability. After the third class, transfers will only be allowed at a Program Coordinator’s discretion. Credit Procedure If your plans change and you need to withdraw from a class, pro-rated credit will be given to you if you notify us prior to the third class. Credits will remain on account for up to 2 years, after which they expire. Returned NSF Cheques / Credit Cards Payments made by cheque or credit card which are not accepted by the bank, must be replaced with a cash payment. A $35.00 administrative fee will be charged for each returned cheque or credit card payment. Members are responsible for ensuring that credit card info is accurate and current Family Discounts Each additional child receives a 10% discount on qualifying programs. Anyone eligible for the Family Discount must visit the Community Centre to register. Skate Admission Standards We want everyone to be safe and have fun when they come skating. Please note the following: • All participants must wear skates while on the ice for safety • Caregivers without skates must supervise from off the ice • Assistive devices (i.e. chairs, pylons, stroll- ers) are NOT allowed on the ice other than the skate aids we provide • Sports equipment (sticks, rings or pucks) is NOT allowed on the ice • It is recommended that children wear a CSA approved helmet and face cage • Some Community Skates may be cancelled due to tournaments, PA days or special events. Wristband Policy and Pool Admission Standards Our facility uses wristbands to identify young and at-risk swimmers in the pool.

- Given to children 5 years old and under - Given to children 6-9 years who don’t pass the swim test

- Given to children ages 6-9 years who want to attempt the swim test

- Given to children ages 6-9 years who have passed the swim test

Age 5 and Under

• Children must be within arm’s reach of a guardian (12 years+) at all times, regardless of swimming ability. • Children under the age of 5 will not be admitted to the swimming pool unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian (12 years+) • One guardian will be required for every two children (1:2)

Age 6-9 years

Facility Swim Test To pass the facility swim test, a child must be able to swim two widths of the pool with his or her face in the water. Swimmers must maintain a regular, comfortable breath- ing pattern and must not stop during the entire distance.

• Children must successfully complete the facility swim test in order to swim independently of their guardian (12 years+). If they do not pass, they must stay within arm’s reach of the guardian. • One guardian will be required for every four children (1:4) • One guardian may supervise up to eight children (1:8) wearing lifejackets Individuals with Serious Medical Conditions Individuals with serious medical conditions should be accompanied by an individual 12 years of age or older who is knowledgeable of the condition and can assume responsibility for direct supervision.

• Levels are progressive. If you are unsure of what level to register your child in, please contact us for a free assessment at aquatics@tillsonburg.ca or 519-688-9011. • Children ages 7+ must change in their gender specific changeroom. Our staff changerooms are available for your use if you are not comfortable sending your child in alone. • Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper. • Parents are not permitted to view lessons or swims from the pool deck and are directed to watch from the upstairs viewing area. • On occasions, the pool can be closed due to fouling. The pool will re-open once the water chemistry is balanced. If a pool fouling occurs during instructional lessons, we will provide a dry land lesson where possible or provide each participant with a Family Swim Pass valued at $9.00. • No shoes are permitted on the pool deck. Bring your own deck designated shoes or cover your shoes with the supplied shoe booties. • Left something behind on your last visit? All found items are held for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, items are donated to a local charitable organization. • If your child is absent from their lesson, make up classes are not available. • If you have questions regarding your child’s progress or lessons, see the Lead Hand on Deck. • If you miss the last day of lessons, report cards can be claimed at the customer service desk. AQUATICS

Preschool 3 These swimmers will learn jumping and sidways entry into deep water. They will learn to hold their breath underwater, to kick and glide through water and to roll front to back. Drop In Swimming Lessons Do you find it difficult to commit to a session of lessons due to co-parenting arrangements or schedule conflicts? Drop In Swim Lessons give you the flexibility you need. When : Saturdays, 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM January 12 - May 4 Fee : $ 8.50 per lesson for first child $ 5.25 per lesson for each additional child. Starting February 1, 2019, the Tillsonburg Community Centre is launching a new fitness program in conjunction with the Ontario Sports and Recreation Commu- nities Fund. This exciting project has involved the addition of an all new training studio. We are targeting anyone that has found any barriers to starting a fitness program in the past, whether it is age, disability, lack of knowledge, or financial, you may qualify for this program. Aqua Fit - Shallow Water

An effective low impact workout program using the water’s resistance to chal- lenge all levels of fitness. Class is suitable for swimmers and non-swimmers. 45 minute class; 15 minutes of Leisure Swim. Exercise in deep water provides virtually zero impact on your bones and joints because of the body’s immersion in the water. Belts or noodles are provided to keep you afloat during your workout. 45 minute class; 15 minutes of Leisure Swim. Aqua Jog - Deep Water Moms are welcome to join in any Aqua Fit class and enjoy some quality time in the pool with your baby! Aqua Cycling Come take the plunge in our spin class! The Tidal Wave is a stationary bike that sits on the bottom of the pool and uses the properties of water to give you a calorie-burning, full-body spin experience. To secure your spot, call the Com- munity Centre or just drop in. For drop-ins, please be aware that all bikes could be booked. Classes consist of a 45 minute workout followed by free swim time. Class time will be required for bike setup and tear down. 14+ years * Bikes are designed for use with or without aqua shoes. Snug-fitting mid-thigh length tights/ shorts can help prevent your leg from getting caught during transitions in and out of the saddle. Age:
