Hometown St.Thomas October 2026

Lori Baldwin-Sands I am a lifelong resident of St. Thomas, mar- ried to Doug Sands. Mother to Catharine, Amy, and Meg Sloan and grandmother to 4 boys. In my full-time career, although now retired, I have owned and operated numerous suc- cessful businesses in St. Thomas including

Mike Brisson I have spent my entire life in St Thomas , arriving here at one year old and never once feeling the need to call anywhere else home My family has always been my anchor and that is the reason why I believe in a strong safe , supported and connected community I believe in our city’s

fitness clubs and a retail store, along with commercial real estate. Most recently, I have chaired the Health Recruitment Partnership working to bring additional family doctors/health practitioners to the community. I am also a city representative at Kettle Creek Conservation Authority working to protect and preserve our watershed. In the past, I have been the City’s Finance and Administration Chair, working to develop the city’s annual budget, and the Social Services Chair working to develop affordable housing and maintain city services. If successful in my bid for re-election, I hope to continue my work as Health Recruitment Chair where we have been successful in recruiting numerous family doctors to the community. I hope to continue my work toward developing a fiscally responsible community aquatic centre for St. Thomas. Working with Council and Administration, I would like to build upon our success in areas such as affordable housing, industrial and job growth, and the many social and safety services that the city provides it’s residents in a financially disciplined manner.

great essential services that protect and care for us I have been a board member for STMBA and I spent 19 years on the STMHA. My experiences there has given me the opportunity to coach and manage players and teams and to build confidence of athletes and to create mentorship , teamwork and community involvement I have been a member of the Knights of Columbus for almost 50 years. I served as the treasurer, chairman, or cochairman of many charity events … working for families and local organizations and community needs. I spent 47 years , managing a local small business … there I learned the importance of listening , building trust and treating people with respect I believe in the city of St Thomas, it’s peopleit’s potential and it’s future. When elected, I will listen to the wants , the needs , the hopes and the concerns of all of St Thomas . The youths, the adults and the seniors will receive all of my attention St Thomas will remain a place we are proud to call home !! Candidate Chris Deslandes did not submit by publication deadline .
