The Wallpaper Loft section will feature Hunter Douglas blinds, an extensive collection of wallpaper and a comprehensive range of Benjamin Moore paint colours. “Our customers will receive floor-to-ceiling inspiration and friendly expertise for their next renovation project,” says Tom. “Whether they are looking for a fresh paint colour, new wallpaper or custom blinds, they will be able to see those choices alongside the flooring options available through Elgin Carpet One.” That connection between the stores is an important part of the renovation. In the past, customers visiting two separate spaces may have focused on only one aspect of a room update. Bringing the stores together creates an opportunity to consider the complete project. “Someone may initially come in thinking only about paint or flooring,” says Denise. “As they walk through all the different product offerings, we believe they will be inspired to add more elements to their project, making the finished update more complete and satisfying.” Customers will also have access to knowledgeable team members specializing in flooring, paint, wallpaper and blinds, all under one roof. “Our staff members each have their own specialty,” Denise says. “That allows customers to work with knowledgeable individuals across the board in one convenient location.” The Versteeg family is also quick to credit the employees who have helped both stores grow. “Without the effort and dedication of our wonderful group of employees, we wouldn’t be where we are today,” Michael says. “Everyone adds something different and important to our organization, and we are incredibly grateful.” When fully completed at the end of 2026 or early 2027, the new space will offer more room, more products and a unified shopping experience. The fully renovated Elgin Carpet One and Wallpaper Loft will provide everything customers need to reimagine their homes, from the floor beneath their feet to the walls and windows surrounding them.
