Oversee contractors during the build phase ensuring that site procedures are followed including health and safety requirements. | 5 |
Ensure that procedures are in place to undertake vetting checks and clearances are in order for contractors on site in line with regulatory guidance. | 5 |
Manage the handover of buildings from contractor to school, including commissioning, snagging and logistics of moves. | 5 |

Line manage the site team, conducting appraisals and addressing performance management issues as necessary; recruit and train staff as required. | 6 |

Significant experience of estate management. | 7 |
Experience of managing capital works from start to finish. | 7 |
A sound knowledge of health and safety regulations as they relate to premises and buildings. | 7 |
Experience of managing a team including managing the performance of others. | 7 |
Experience of managing budgets and of monitoring invoices from a multitude of external contractors. | 7 |
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels in a courteous and professional manner – a ‘can-do’ attitude. | 7 |
Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to work autonomously to resolve issues. | 7 |
Time management skills and experience of managing a varied workload with the minimum of supervision and direction. | 7 |
Good working knowledge of MS Office packages. | 7 |
Basic knowledge of CAD. | 7 |
A degree or equivalent qualification in estates management or related discipline. | 7 |
IOSH or NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent health and safety qualification). | 7 |
