Bosley the baboon is a dad

Bosley the Baboon is a dad once aga in . The Papanack Pa rk Zoo welcomed a newcomer in mid-august. If you have ever been to Papanack Park Zoo then you know who Bosley the Baboon is. He is the longest resident to make Papanack his home. He made it his home when the zoo first opened in 1995 at the young age of 3 months old. For many years Bosley lived by himself as the zoo searched for any other of his species that would be suitable companions for him. The search was long, but finally the zoo found a small troop that we felt would be a good fit for Mr Bosley. It was then that Bosley got his ‘Angels’ Sabrina, Kelly, Jill and baby Charlie, so named a f t e r t he h i t TV s e r i e s Cha r l i e ’ s ’ Angels. newsroom@eap.on.ca V ANKLEEK H ILL Beau’s wins design award for “green” four-pack “The Beau’s brand, to me, has come to represent the people who work here,” says creative director Jordan Bamforth, who conceptualized the design. “When you look at what we put out there, it’s modest, unpretentious, the materials are unconventional – and there’s real a sense of fun to it.”

After winning several awards for its beer, Beau’s All Natural Brewing, of Vankleek Hill, has been recognized for its unique “green” packaging. The signature four-bottle box launched in 2010 has won a design award from Applied Arts magazine, a Canadian trade publication for the industry.

The registration for the Fall session programs will take place at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. RESIDENTS: September 12 to 25 (Proof of residency is required: driver’s license or tax bill.)

The package also emphasizes environmental sustainability, containing 17.3 per cent more beer than a six-pack, and less waste because fewer bottles, labels and caps are used. The pack features treeless paper labels, crown cap bottles, which can be used more times than twist-offs, and non-bleached cardboard that is 100 per cent recycled (75% post-consumer) and totally recyclable. The Applied Arts Awards are one of the industry’s most prestigious recognitions. “We are thrilled that Jordan’s design talent is being recognized, and so glad he is part of the Beau’s team,” says Steve Beauchesne, who founded the brewerywith his father, Tim, in 2006. The Beau’s All Natural 4-pack stands out in the brewing industry, where themost common formats are six, 12 and 24 cases of 341-ml. industry-standard bottles. The Beau’s bundle has four custom 600- ml. brown glass bottles embossed with the
