WHY CONSIDERHOME CARE “Doesn’t Your Older Loved One Deserve Independence?”

Mind &Mobility is the option to assisted living. Mind & Mobility is independence in the home. Many caring for their loved ones may very well be at the “Y” in the road. It may well be you, as you look to find the very best place for your mom or dad or other beloved individual to age gracefully and with dignity. As you struggle with this highly emotional issue, the answer is more simple and much better than you may have originally thought. Data has long supported the notion that staying home is better for your senior loved one. As long as they can maintain their relative independence, there is no comparison for mortality. Staying home, seniors live longer, healthier and happier lives. And here’s something that makes the decision even easier when considering this choice: Living at home, with effective home care, is far more cost effective than that new assisted living facility down the street. It makes sense and saves dollars. While that new facility is attempting to pay for the expensive bricks and mortar of a building, having home care services, private duty nursing and a companion. to help with tasks, is far more effective and economical. What’s more is the social impact upon your loved one. With home care, they are able to stay independent in their comfortable home

longer, where there are often so many wonderful memories. They knowwhere to find things, where everything is so familiar. Family and friends can easily come and visit. And neighbors are near. If you hadn’t seriously considered home care, as opposed to an expensive assisted living center, please give us a call now. Our intake coordinators will partner with you and even arrange for you to choose the caregiver! With our flexible treatment plans for clients, we will determine with you precisely what will work best to help ensure a longer, healthier, happier life….at HOME!

“Learn How To Maintain Your Diet This Season” 5 HEALTH TIPS FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON

3. Just Say No You probably aren’t aware how much extra food you consume just from people offering it to you. A sample at the market here, an extra cookie at an office party there and it all adds up. Just think twice before you take that food and decide if you really want it. 4. Skip the Baking Do you make baked goods for giving? Chances are you eat much of what you bake. Who wouldn’t? Instead make non-food gifts, or prepare ingredients for baked goods and put them in pretty jars--let your gift recipient bake it up. That way, they can eat it when they want it and you don’t have to be tempted in the kitchen. 5. Hydrate Keep your water bottle with you at all times. You should be drinking eight, 8-oz glasses of water each day. One handy trick is to buy a 64 ounce water jug. Fill it up in the morning and know that you need to finish it by the end of the day.

The more convenient they are, the more likely you are to eat them. Instead of thinking about what you shouldn’t eat, promise to eat your 3 to 5 servings of vegetables each day. 2. Schedule Your Exercise Your schedule will be very hectic this holiday season. Schedule your workouts just as you would any other appointment. It’s ok if you can’t make it to class, but make sure that you get some activity in at least three days per week.
