RADS = Rebuildable Adjustable Dodge Steering Finally, the steering kit every Ram owner has been waiting for! Proper geometry, rebuildable joints you can tighten up in minutes as they break in. Yes, this kit costs more, but that is due to USA made with superior materials and joints. This is likely the last steering kit you will ever need to buy. The Bad Axe steering kit was designed to keep OEM geometry which a lot of people think is bad, but in truth it is well mapped-out and properly engineered, but the joints just wear out fast. With keeping the OEM geometry, you have less chances to get death wobble or a dead spot in the steering wheel. Features: • Custom made 4340 Heat-treated Chromoly Joints are adjustable to take up slack as the joints wear in, to keep a new steering feel all the time. These are not like the ones made overseas that wear out in 25k miles like other aftermarket brands. In fact, these joints have been used by the American military and also NASCAR for over twenty years. • Rebuildable Joints: if you do ever actually need to rebuild the joints, you won't need a new alignment after rebuilding. • Alignments can be done in the truck by one person! The adjusting coupler is made from 4130 chromoly 2.25" 1/2 wall, then zinc coated for the threads and powder coated on the outside. • NO JAM NUTS. Complete game changer here. Jam nuts are great if you get to the required torque of 200ft lbs. But most people only can get them to 90ft lbs. and then they come loose, causing premature failure. • USA made (the only kit like this that is made in America) • Includes steering damper mounting bracket. NOTES (and the ugly truth) Steering alone will help, but not fix other steering related issues. If you have any issues with the following items, they need to be replaced or repaired as well: • track bar/bushings (don't just replace with cheap bushings, it is a band-aid at best) • bad ball joints • worn out steering box • bad lift geometry • bad alignment • worn-out mud tires, or Chinese-made tires. • If you have massive negative wheels with little tires, you already know....

• If the truck is newer than 19+ SOME of the models have an extra bracket on the frame. This will need to be ground down to clearance the pitman arm side joint due to the massive size of our joints. • For 2003-2008 Model Ram 2500/3500 trucks built before February 14, 2008, with original steering box, this kit will only work on trucks with a 1" to 3" lift or stock height trucks that have the upgraded Mopar 6-bolt steering box or aftermarket Borgeson or PSC steering box. • If you have a 2003-2008 with the original Y-style steering on a vehicle built before February 14, 2008, you need the T-style steering pitman arm Mopar 68039930AA from the 2008-2009 models. If not, you will have bump steer. • If you have a 2003-2008 with the original Y-style steering on a vehicle built before February 14, 2008, you will also need to upgrade your steering damper to the 2008 and newer design by using either Mopar 5154661AD or Bilstein BIL-33-170794. • Fits 2003-2008 Ram 2500 4WD and 2003-2008 Ram 3500 4WD built before February 14, 2008. • If the truck is newer than February 14, 2008, or has an upgraded Mopar, Borgeson or PSC steering box, you will need the BAS-RADS1323 kit.

These braces are designed to help the sector shaft on the steering box from flexing when turning the steering wheel. This will tighten up your steering wheel feel and stop a lot of the road wandering. The braces will also save your steering box from prematurely wear, or breakage due to negative offsets, lift kits, & offroad tire stress. Unlike most braces, these units are designed around using stock and aftermarket sway bars like Thuren or Carli. People advertise that these will solve all your steering issues, well folks that is not true. The one thing the manufacturer promises is that this will save your steering box from wearing out fast and prevent a selector shaft failure. The competition manufactures a one-size-fits-all brace for 2003-2024 model Ram trucks by adding massive slotted holes to allow fitment. Bad Axe designed six different braces to allow for custom fitment for your specific application.
