What is our CURRENT STATE - 2019 • We have the number one career conference in the country • We have a pipeline, but it’s not equitable in it’s program delivery (how we shore up each area of the pipeline) • We’re not there as experts • Handful of sessions at conference, networking opportunities at a chapter level to assist in the process • Not the experts but have a great foundation for student leaders (LOT), gap above student level • Note: Add Progression and Mobility • Not currently the experts for career mobility; however, we could be with more relationship building among members intra and outer state • I'd say we are slightly behind the curve of taking advantage of marketing and promoting our 50th anniversary.
What THINK BIG looks like • Mid to Upper Level members stay engaged to vet their next roles and get prepared for success (increase members) • 4 NBMBAA® members are C suite of Fortune 100 companies • Mobility Pathways Tracking Model with time comparison. • NBMBAA® published in Fortune magazine, etc. (on keys to Black progression)
CRITICAL INITIATIVES
2020 • Reimagine career conference to grow attendance, optimize stakeholder experience and improve experience and engagement • Promotion Strategies - Homecoming Promotion Campaign leading up to 50th - Reclamation Strategies and Programming • Coalesce and curate black talent development and acquisition professional services and take them to corporate sponsorship markets • Develop black professional career mobility framework with mandates, points of view and thought leadership • Link chapter and NHQ career programming and activity by framing best practices, making them available to all and fusing the synergies of the work eorts • Celebrate and recognize founding date and founders' legacy • Recognize and honor key visionaries at conference (Impact Awards)
