2024-2025 Annual Report Classical Christian Education for Lifelong Learning

Saint Thomas’ Fund Support

Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School has established The Tartan Society as a way to provide special recognition for our most generous donors to The Saint Thomas’ Fund, the school’s annual fund program. We have identified this program as The Tartan Society because the Scottish Arts Program is one of the most unique, recognizable, and long- standing traditions at Saint Thomas’. Donors who make a direct gift to The Saint Thomas’ Fund at The Tartan Society level understand the investment required to ensure STE students have the best possible educational experience. Academics, athletics, fine arts, Scottish Arts, and spiritual life are all key areas impacted by your direct gift to The Saint Thomas’ Fund.

MISSION STATEMENT

Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School forms honorable men and women through a classical education grounded in a Christ-centered worldview.

Christian Faith Discipline Excellence Honor Love Respect CORE VALUES

Dear STE Community, Several years ago, the Boeing Corporation ran an ad campaign centered on the theme, “We know why we are here.” This theme resonated with me because it emphasized several characteristics I have always found appealing: excellence, confidence, and self-awareness. As a school, these same traits are integral to the STE culture. Our mission, core values, Portrait of a Graduate, and Episcopal identity all reflect an institution that not only knows why we are here but also has a firm grasp on where we are going. New leadership and a strategic plan will help shape a future filled with possibilities and opportunities.

What we have achieved—and all the possibilities before us—are a direct result of your generosity and volunteer involvement in the life of STE. The impact of your unwavering support can be found in every aspect of what we have accomplished in 2024–2025. While this Annual Report summarizes our achievements, it also serves as a tribute to the many contributions that have shaped the unique culture that has been a hallmark of STE for seventy years. Thanks to the Saint Thomas’ Fund, The Tartan Society, and our two major fundraising events (Fall Fair and Gala), we have raised significant funds that are transforming our school in numerous ways. I am especially pleased to report that we exceeded our Saint Thomas’ Fund goal. As a result, your contributions have allowed us to enhance our programs, provide financial support for those in need, improve facilities, offer professional development opportunities for our dedicated faculty and staff, and much more—all of which directly benefit every STE student. Philanthropy extends beyond financial contributions; it fosters a culture of giving back to move us forward. Your time and talent are continually on display. Whether volunteering for the Fall Fair, participating in the extensive work required for a successful Gala, or serving as a grade-level coordinator, you have made an enormous difference. All of this helps create an environment where students feel supported, encouraged, engaged, and inspired to become the best versions of themselves. The future is indeed bright, and STE remains committed to its mission of forming honorable men and women through a classical education grounded in a Christ-centered worldview. Your continued support is crucial as we strive to be our best by doing our best—shining examples of educational excellence. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to this special place. Like the Boeing campaign from the past, because of you, we know why we are here. With gratitude and appreciation,

William R. Mott, Ph.D. Interim Head of School

This special event brings together the community for an evening of celebration and engagement, focusing on supporting the Saint Thomas’ Fund. As the school’s major fundraising event, it attracts supporters who are passionate about advancing the school’s mission. This year’s A Platinum Affair 70th Anniversary Gala and Auction, chaired by Angela Bilnoski and Lisa Fahey, was a great success, thanks to their leadership and the hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers. Raising over $230,000, the event was a testament to the commitment of our community to support our school with their generous contributions, recognizing the critical role the Saint Thomas’ Fund plays in living out our mission and core values. We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, patrons, and especially our amazing donors for ensuring the success of the Gala.

FALL FAIR The Fall Fair is a long-standing tradition that Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School looks forward to each year. This year, we transformed our campus into the enchanting world of Hogwarts, celebrating our school’s Harry Potter enthusiasts in magical style. Chaired by Jennifer Fisher and Caroline Lanier, alongside their incredible team of volunteers, the event raised over $25,000 in support of this

year’s Saint Thomas’ Fund. This cherished one-day event brings our families together and fosters a deep sense of community and school pride. We are grateful to our volunteers, sponsors, and the entire STE community for making the Fall Fair a treasured tradition and for continuing to support the educational journey of our students.

The Tartan Society

The Saint Thomas’ Fund is the primary way we raise funds to support the work of Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School. STE created The Tartan Society to provide special recognition for our most generous donors. Members of The Tartan Society support the Saint Thomas’ Fund by providing vital resources to every facet of our school. We are profoundly thankful to our parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who supported the 2024-2025 Saint Thomas’ Fund and The Tartan Society. Your continued generosity plays a crucial role in strengthening our school community.
