Our faculty members design lessons to teach not just about academics, but instill life- lessons. This happens formally in the classroom, but teachable moments can arise at any time over the course of the day. Teachers leverage them not only to make the lessons stick, but to intentionally integrate life-lessons into the conversations. When they do, boys not only succeed academically, they succeed as empathetic humans. High schools tell us that Cathedral boys stand out for their academic preparation and exemplary citizenship and leadership. Cathedral boys attend the top high schools in the Bay Area in addition to national boarding schools. Our boys know themselves and how they best learn, allowing them to thrive.
Character education is part of everything we do: modeled, discussed, and encouraged in every word and deed. Character education has been a school focus for over 60 years.
