SAFE DRILL PRESS USE
• The above example, the Engineer securely clamped the wood to the drill press bed so he does not have to hold it in place with his hand. • He is wearing a face shield to protect his eyes from flying particles.
• In the example above, the Engineer is holding the wood on which he is drilling with his bare hand. If the drill bit binds, the wood can be pulled from his hand and cause an injury. • He is not wearing eye protection.
