Powered Slicer Cleaning
Cleaning the Powered Slicer
BEFORE CLEANING THE SLICER: • Switch the power slicer switch to off position. • Unplug the power cord from the outlet. • Test to make sure the power slicer will NOT turn on. • Set the blade cutting thickness control to ZERO. • Put cut resistant gloves and nitrile gloves on both hands as described above.
AFTER CLEANING: • Make sure all guards are back in place with the knobs tight and the blade cutting thickness control is set at ZERO. • Do not plug in the power cord in until the slicer is to be used. • Report any problems with the power slicer to your supervisor immediately for repair. This may include a frayed or cut power cord, broken pieces, missing guards, missing attachment knobs, poorly moving slide table, etc… If not fixed, these problems may cause an injury.
